How we make content

Facts

Records such as champions and award winners come from Wikidata, an open database released under CC0. Open data has gaps and occasional errors, so we review it, correct what we can confirm and leave a field empty rather than guess. Current-season results come from a licensed data provider and appear after games end.

Stories

Stories are written for this site. We do not copy text from Wikipedia, league websites or statistics sites. We check central claims against the sources listed with each article, using league, university and other primary records where available. Reference works help establish context. A source link supports the facts checked there; it does not mean its publisher endorses our interpretation.

Evidence and explanation

We distinguish recorded results from our reading of them. A final score can establish who won; it cannot, by itself, explain every tactical decision or measure a player's contribution. Examples invented to explain a rule or calculation are labelled as fictional. We do not invent quotations or private thoughts for people in our stories.

Dates and scope

Articles show their publication date and, after a substantial revision, an update date. Each source has its own consultation date. These dates are different: an updated article does not mean every linked source was checked again that day. Rules guides state the period they describe, and historical formats are explained in the context of their season.

Use of AI tools

We use AI tools to help with research, drafting and code. Every story is read and approved by our editor before it is published. Facts that deserve a second look are tracked and re-checked over time.

Images

We only use images that are licensed for reuse, host them ourselves and credit them on the credits page. We do not use logos or AI images made to look like real players.

Corrections

Found something wrong? Tell us — confirmed errors are fixed and the page is rebuilt. Include the page address, the disputed detail and a supporting source when possible so we can investigate the claim.
